Open Positions

Note: Some roles are formally remunerated while others (editorial board membership, reviewers, advisory roles) are typically honoraria-based, voluntary or linked to institutional agreements. Each specific vacancy listing will state compensation (if any). Compensation packages, time commitments, and role type are described in each job posting.

  1. Editor (Editor-in-Chief / Associate Editor / Section Editor)

Role summary: Provide scholarly leadership for a journal or a subject section. Oversee editorial standards, manage peer review decisions, and shape journal scope and strategy.
Key responsibilities

  • Set editorial direction and policy for the journal/section.
  • Assign and manage handling editors and reviewers.
  • Make final publication recommendations and sign off on accepted papers.
  • Recruit and mentor editorial board members and reviewers.
    Essential qualifications
  • Established publication record in a relevant field; ideally a PhD or equivalent research experience.
  • Prior editorial or peer-review experience preferred.
    Desirable skills
  • Leadership, editorial judgement, familiarity with open access publishing and indexing criteria.
    Time commitment: Variable; described in specific vacancy.
  1. Reviewer

Role summary: Provide fair, constructive, and timely peer reviews to assess manuscripts for originality, methodological rigour, and contribution to the field.
Key responsibilities

  • Deliver thorough written reviews using the journal reviewer form.
  • Disclose conflicts of interest and maintain confidentiality.
    Essential qualifications
  • Demonstrated expertise (publications, PhD candidature or completion, or relevant professional experience).
    Recognition
  • Reviewers may receive certificates, acknowledgement in annual reviewer lists, and optional reviewer credit (e.g., Publons) where available.
  1. Advisor (Editorial / Subject-Matter Advisor)

Role summary: Provide strategic advice on editorial policy, journal scope, indexing strategy, and special issues. May also assist with outreach and quality assurance.
Key responsibilities

  • Advise on editorial standards, indexing readiness, and journal development.
  • Assist with special issue planning and guest editor recruitment.
    Essential qualifications
  • Senior academic/professional with recognized expertise in the subject area.
  1. National Representative

Role summary: Act as a local point of contact and outreach ambassador for Globenix Publisher in your country/region to support author recruitment, institutional engagement, and awareness of journal activities.
Key responsibilities

  • Promote calls for papers and special issues.
  • Facilitate institutional relationships and support local authors with submission queries.
    Essential qualifications
  • Strong network in the academic community within the representative’s country or region.
  1. Editorial Assistant

Role summary: Provide administrative and operational support to the Editorial Office and editorial teams — manuscript triage, communication, production coordination, and record-keeping.
Key responsibilities

  • Perform initial submission checks, manage correspondence, and support reviewers and editors.
  • Assist with proofreading, metadata checks, and publication logistics.
    Essential qualifications
  • Strong organisational skills, attention to detail, familiarity with manuscript management systems preferred.
  • Degree or diploma in a relevant field advantageous.
  1. Acquisition Executive (Journal Development & Outreach)

Role summary: Identify opportunities for new journals, special issues, institutional partnerships, and conference collaborations; manage outreach and business development activities.
Key responsibilities

  • Develop partnerships with societies, institutions, and conferences.
  • Propose and support new journal or themed collections.
  • Assist with institutional membership and transformative agreement outreach.
    Essential qualifications
  • Experience in publishing sales, academic outreach, or business development; strong communication skills.
  1. Other / Flexible Roles
