Ethics & Integrity Policy
Globenix Publisher is committed to the highest standards of ethical conduct. This policy outlines the responsibilities of authors, editors, and reviewers, and describes how allegations of misconduct will be handled.
1. Core Principles
Our practices are informed by widely accepted guidelines (e.g., COPE, ICMJE) to ensure transparency and trustworthiness in scholarly publishing.
- Honesty & Accuracy: Research must be reported honestly, without fabrication, falsification, or inappropriate data manipulation.
- Originality & Plagiarism: Authors must present original work. Plagiarism in any form is strictly prohibited.
- Transparency: All conflicts of interest, funding sources, and relationships that could bias the work must be disclosed.
- Responsible Authorship: Only individuals who made a substantial intellectual contribution should be listed as authors.
2. Authorship & Contributorship
An author must have made substantial contributions to the conception, design, data acquisition/analysis, or drafting of the work, and must approve the final version. Ghost authorship (excluding contributors) or guest authorship (including non-contributors) is unethical and will be investigated.
3. Conflicts of Interest
All authors, reviewers, and editors must disclose any financial or non-financial interests that could be perceived to influence the work (e.g., employment, consultancies, stock ownership, personal relationships). Disclosed interests will be published with the article.
4. Research Approvals & Consent
- Human Subjects: Must include the name of the ethics committee, reference number, and a statement that informed consent was obtained. Clinical trials must provide a registry number.
- Animal Research: Must comply with relevant institutional standards and include ethical approval details.
- Data Availability: Authors must include a Data Availability Statement describing where data, code, and materials can be accessed.
5. Handling Allegations of Misconduct
Globenix Publisher uses reputable tools to screen all submissions for similarity and plagiarism. If misconduct (plagiarism, data fabrication, image manipulation, duplicate publication) is suspected, we will:
- Gather evidence (similarity reports, raw data, reviewer comments).
- Contact the corresponding author for an explanation.
- If necessary, consult the authors’ institutions or funding bodies.
- Follow established COPE guidelines to determine the outcome.
Corrections & Retractions
Correction: Issued for minor errors that do not affect the conclusions.
Expression of Concern: Issued when unresolved issues are serious and require notification to readers.
Retraction: Issued when findings are unreliable due to misconduct or severe error. Retracted articles remain accessible but are clearly marked.
6. Reporting Concerns
Concerns may be raised by readers, reviewers, editors, or third parties. Reports should be sent to editorial@globenixpublisher.com. Include manuscript details, the nature of the concern, and any supporting evidence. Reporters may request anonymity, and Globenix Publisher will protect whistleblowers from retaliation to the best of our ability.
