APCs & Waiver Policy
Globenix Publisher ensures inclusive access to scholarly publishing. This policy outlines our transparent Article Processing Charges and our commitment to supporting unfunded researchers through waivers and discounts.
Editorial Independence Guarantee
APCs are charged only after a manuscript is accepted for publication. Fees and waiver requests are managed by the administrative team and are completely hidden from editors and reviewers. Your ability to pay will never influence editorial decisions.
1. What the APC Covers
Where applicable, Article Processing Charges (APCs) cover the essential costs of open access publishing, including:
- Editorial administration and independent peer review coordination.
- Professional copyediting, typesetting, and proofreading.
- DOI registration and high-quality metadata preparation for indexing.
- Online hosting, platform maintenance, and permanent article-level archiving.
Note: If a journal is fully funded or operates without APCs (diamond/platinum open access), it will be explicitly stated as "No APC" on the journal homepage.
2. Invoicing & Payment
APCs are invoiced only after the Editorial Office issues a formal acceptance letter. Payment must be completed prior to final publication (i.e., before copyediting/production). Invoices will include clear international payment instructions, including bank SWIFT details.
3. Waivers & Discounts
Globenix Publisher’s waiver policy supports equitable participation in open access publishing for authors without funding. The following categories are eligible for consideration:
- Full Waivers: Corresponding authors based in Low-Income countries (as classified by the World Bank), or authors demonstrably from institutions with no available APC funding.
- Partial Discounts: Corresponding authors from Lower-Middle Income countries, unfunded Early Career Researchers (ECRs), students, or independent scholars.
- Institutional Agreements: Discounts or exemptions for authors covered by institutional memberships or transformative agreements.
4. How to Apply for a Waiver
Complete the Waiver Application Form during submission or within 7 days of acceptance. The Waiver Committee will acknowledge receipt within 5 business days and reach a decision within 10–14 business days.
